What are “Writing Organization” Second Saturday Circles?

The Virtual Second Saturday Circles provide an opportunity for writers who have participated in Women Writing for (a) Change classes in the past, and current class members, to gather in our circle and have writing time within this nurturing space.  This new series of circles will support women who have writings to explore and organize and would like the support and inspiration that other like-minded women can provide. Women will commit to all three circles for the most impactful experience.

I provide an Agenda on the Wednesday before our circle. We  begin our circle at 9:30 AM and then disperse to work on our organization and discovery process independently.  We save some time during the morning to reconvene in the large group circle and writers will have the option to share writings within the large group. We will share read-back lines after our read a round.  Though the Small Group element of our classes is missing, this gathering provides inspiration and a chance to refocus on your own writing process- a great place for self-care within community.

Second Saturday Circles are intended for those who have experienced the protocol of our sacred circles and would like to step back into this nurturing, inspiring community of writers.

These circles are a terrific way to reconnect with old friends and make new connections.

During our circles you will enjoy an agenda complete with poem and prompts, time for a fast-write and spacious time to organize and/or revisit your writings.  We will reconvene in our large circle to share readings (sharing is always an option.)  The virtual format works really well for these circles!
